Do I have to pay to use your service?

Our service is 100% free to homeowners. Landscape Locators is paid a referral fee by the landscape and pool contractors for bringing them business.

What is my obligation?

You are under no obligation to choose one of our contractors. However, since we offer such a large variety of landscapers to choose from, we feel confident that at least one of them will be right for your job.

Do I need to contact a designer before contacting you?

No. We will prepare drawings of your proposed project to help you visualize your project, however these are not architectural drawings. If you feel that you need a more formal plan or your project is more complex in nature, we can refer you to one of the many outstanding designers and architects we work with. Once your design is completed, we can use those plans to help you find a contractor. However, we have found most homeowners are able to visualize their yard without having to pay for architectural drawings.

What if I already have a set of drawings?

Assuming that the drawings are detailed and to-scale, we can use them to get the necessary materials and dimensions and then bid the project to find the right contractor for the job.

How many contractors do you work with?

We work with approximately 40 different landscape contractors. We have personally checked each company’s work quality and references, as well as verified that they maintain the necessary licenses and insurance.

How many bids will I receive?

You will typically receive 3 or 4 bids for your project. Because we work so closely with the contractors in our network, getting these bids typically takes no more than 4 or 5 business days.

When should I call you to set up an appointment?

We recommend that homeowners contact us 2-3 months from their desired completion date. This allows ample time for the design and bid selection process, as well as time to get on the contractor’s calendar and have all work completed.

Do you only deal with new homes?

No. We help homeowners of both new and existing homes.
